Golden Globe Fashion 2012

So here are my favorites of the night, and some that in my opinion were misses. But I love red carpet events just so I can see the great fashions the celebrities are wearing and emerging trends as well for fashion and beauty.

The Best

Fish Tails/trains/mirmaid gowns were a big trend last night, and here are my favorite ones.

I love the lace detailing on this dress and the amazing belt.

The royal blue color is great and the texture used is great.

I love the light airyness of this look. The color is so pretty and the neckline, and slit add drama.

The gold detailing on the top part of her dress is very beautiful and eye catching.

This was another one of my favs with the lace detailing and dramatic slit. Very old Hollywood to me. (BEST DRESSED)

I love the color of this gown and the texture of it.

Another great fishtail dress was this one its like liquid steel. The color and detailing is amazing. (THIRD RUNNER UP BEST DRESSED)

This red number was a big hit. The shape and lines were so flattering on her, and she looked awesome.

This dress I have mixed feelings about I like the dress I just wish it was in another color. This white feels too bridal to me.

Color Trend: Sunshine Yellow

Sleek & Casual

I love the silhouette of this dress, but I don't know how I feel about the pop of red though.

For me Hiedi is either a hit or a miss and this time she was a hit. The great color and simplicity of the dress just let the teal statement necklace shine.

This is a sleek number, but it has amazing stud detailing very pretty.

What can you say about Kate she always looks great. Her secret knowning and dressing for her body type, age, and what she feels confident in.

Ok so this is another dress I have mixed feelings about. I like the color, but the accessories are a little too light for me if she would have worn a chocker necklace or dangling earrings then it would have been fine. I just feel she didn't accessorize enough.

This two tone dress is great and the belt makes it even better.

What can you say about Mila she just looks great in everything, but I'd love this even more if it was in a color.

Worst

So I really dont like this dress. Now it is Madonna so it's no surprise that the design is a little out there, but the bottom half is aweful. I like the top half though, the bottom just ruined it.

OMG! I don't even know where to start. She looks like a tie-dyed pastery. I don't like the shilhouette of this dress to begin with. It looks like a bridal gown that had blue paint spilt all over it. In one word it's just TRAGIC. (WINNER OF WORST DRESSED)

Review: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

The other day when I was out shopping I picked up this concealer because I've heard good things about it, and wanted to give it a try. Now I don't have extremely dark under eye circles, but I'm always looking for a good concealer that covers the darkness I do have. I've tried this for 2 days now and I actually really do like it. For me it gives the coverage I need. The consistency is also very nice and creamy. I do wish it came in more shades though because they only offer 5 plus a brightner, and I probably could go a shade lighter. The shade I got was light and the fair was too light so thats the only complaint I really have about the product. The packaging is nice in the fact that the applicator is a sponge. I personally blend it in with my finger or a brush though. The price of this product isn't bad either it's only $8.99 and you can get it anywhere really Ulta, drugstore, grocery store etc.

My rating for this product on a scale of a 1-5 is a 4.

   

New products I picked up today

Ok so today I went out on a mission to buy new makeup products from drugstore brands that were just released. There was alot I wanted to try out. So I just got 1 or 2 colors in each product just to try it out then if I like it I can buy more. I also picked up 1 or 2 things that aren't new products, but I just wanted to try out.  I will be doing a review video soon on all these products once I try them all. January Birchbox 2012 (Clarity)

Today I recieved my January Birchbox. It couldn't have had better timing arriving on my birthday (what a great extra gift). So I've posted pictures below of what I got, and what the products claim to do. Hope you guys enjoy! -xoxo A-

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy fragrance sample-Wild berries, mandarin, and floral notes. Now I do own this fragrance so I didn't mind getting the sample.

Borghese CuraForte Moisture Intensifier- A surum you apply before you put on your moisturizer, or mix with your moisturizer.  

Birtchbox Magnet- not much to it just disapointing :(

Larabar (mini bar) - No artificial fillers, just dried fruit, nuts, and other wholesome ingredients.

Jour Body Butter- Rich formula softens rough patches with pure shea butter, olive, and avocado oils. (Tried this product and the consistancy is good and it smells good too, but the scent can be over powering too.)

Stilla Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Moray- Makes eyes stand out and lasts for hours. (Now I did swatch this and its the exact color as the packaging. Its a true olive green with a tad of shimmer. I also like that its a full size and not a sample size.)

Meaningful Beauty Review

I recently also purchased Meaningful Beauty anti aging skin care line by Cindy Crawford this past December. I've been using it everyday since I got it and I love it. Meaningful Beauty is also another infommercial product. I ordered mine off line though at www.meaningfulbeauty.com and theres 2 packages to choose from. I am defiantly going to purchase it again. I love a product that you can actually feel working, and these products do just that. I recieved several products in my kit, to see everything I got, learn more about Meaningful Beauty, and get my first impression just watch the video I linked down below.

Wen Hair Care Review

Ok so at the beginning of December I decided to order Wen Hair Care products. Now I've only heard about these products through an infommercial. So I decided to go to their website http://www.wenhaircare.com/ and check them out even further. I decided to order the higher priced package of the 2 they offer, and it came about mid-December. So I've been using it about a month now. Now I dont use it everyday because I believe in switching up your shampoo and conditioner daily so your hair doesnt get use to 1 product. I've also used every product I recieved too already. I have to say though I don't think I'll be repurchasing this product. For me personnaly it doesn't really do anything. I already have pretty healthy managable hair to begin with, and I feel like its ment for people who have trouble hair and need a little boost in that department. So I suppose its just one of those products you have to try to determine if it will or wont work for you. But below I've posted my video describing Wen, the products I recived, and my 1st impression.

Bellas wedding look from Twilight Breaking Dawn

So Bella's wedding day makeup was very natural with a brown eye a little bit of eye liner, bronzer, and a peach lip to finish the look. Since this look is so natural it's a great everyday look as well. Heres the products I used to create the look:
