Spring Trend Alert: Pastels

Pastels

Ok lovelies I finally got all my Spring fashion magazines in the mail. I couldn't help but notice all the pastel colors. From ads to runway looks to editorials, pastels were everywhere. So good-bye leopard/animal prints and bright rainbow colors your being put on the back burner, cuz theres a new color group in town and their taking center stage.

Pastel Makeup Look
I was so inspired by this trend that I decided to do a pastel makeup look with greens, blues, pinks, and yellows.

Romantic Hair
And what better hairstyle to go with pastels then a romantic one.

Review: Maybellines Dream Bouncy Blush

Dream Bouncy Blush

Candy Coral, Hot Tamale, and Plum Wine

Ok girls so another product I wanted to try out thats new for Spring is Maybellines Dream Bouncy Blush. I got three colors in: Candy Coral, Hot Tamale, and Plum Wine. Now the reason I got these colors is because I read and watched numorous reviews. I heard that the lighter ones in the collection are not very pigmented so I went for the darkest shades they offer. I have to say I really like these. Now I haven't tried any of the lighter ones so I can't say if the reviews I read are true. The colors I got though are nicely pigmented and are buildable if you want a bold look, but I personally just like a wash of color thats noticable. The feel of these is like a memory foam mattress. So the consistancy is something I've never seen before, and it's pretty cool.  Now you can't press down real hard on them, and swirl your finger around or you'll make a mess. You just need to gently move your finger in a circular motion to pick up the color. I also like the small convient packaging. So this is a product I'd recommend just go for the darker colors.

Style Icon Pick of the Week: Elizabeth Olsen

Emerging Elizabeth

Just like her stylish older sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley, Elizabeth Olsen is creating her own iconic style. You can see some of her sisters style in her looks, but she does it in her own way. Shes not affraid to take risks, and she'll take looks straight from the runway. Elizabeth is on her way to being the next trend setter in her family, so look out MK & Ash. I can't wait to see what she'll wear next.

Foundation Routine (Combination Skin)

So I can't believe the whole time I've been on Youtube I've never done a foundation routine video. So I decided to film my first one showing you guys how I do my foundation in the fall and winter. Below I have a picture of the foundation I use and why I love it.

I love this foundation for me it gives great coverage and color. Now I'm pretty blessed in the fact that I hardly ever break out so thats why this gives me good coverage. It also lasts all day and a little bit goes a long way. I also like the creamy texture it has so its easy to apply.

Review: Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo

Alright girls time for another review. I'm going to review Maybellines new 24hr color tattoo cream shadows. I first heard about these on Youtube and it looked like something I'd like so I went and bought 2 at my local Rite Aid just to try. The next day I tried one and fell in love. That same day I went back and bought the rest of the collection! There are 10 colors in the collection and they cost around $7. They offer 5 neutrals and 5 colors. Alot of people have been comparing these to paint pots. I personally have never used one, but I have used elfs studio cream shadows, and I like these maybelline ones alot more. They are very creamy and pigmented which I love. They apply  with a flawless finish and last all day without creasing. The packaging is small, convenient, and I like how you can see the color through the bottom. These are very good quality and I highly recommend them :)

Neutrals: Audacious Asphalt, Too Cool, Tough as Taupe, Bad to the Bronze, and Bold Gold.

Colors: Pomegranate Punk, Painted Purple, Tenacious Teal, Edgy Emerald, Fierce & Tangy.

My Overall Rating: 5 Stars

Review: Revlon Photo Ready 3D Volume Mascara

Alright ladies time for another review. Today I'm going to review Revlon's Photo Ready 3D Volume Mascara. This is the newest mascara they offer, and I believe it just came out this year with their Spring lines. It comes in 3 different colors (black/brown, black, and blackest black). I purchased mine in blackest black, and I have to say I love how dark it is. It's $8.99 which isn't too bad for a drugstore mascara. I also like the applicator. It's a plastic bristle brush with a spiked end. It claims to make your eyes stand out on camera. I applied 2 coats and heres 2 pictures of me wearing it.

Now thats 2 coats do you think it makes my eyes pop on camera? Uhhh NO! This mascara does not do what it claims to do. This was a waste of money in my opinion. My NYC mascaras are 10x better then this one, and way cheaper. This mascara doesn't add volume, lengthen or do anything. You can't even tell if I have any lashes in these pictures because it looks like I don't. Besides the nice shade of black, a good applicator, and the nice sleek black packaging it's not worth the buy so save your money girls.
My Rating: 2 Stars
(based on color, applicator, and packaging)
